Deniz Aleyna Akbasaran

My name is Deniz Akbasaran, and I am a Product & Data Analyst at Gorgias, where I am the main data partner for our AI Agent product, which automates customer support for e-commerce brands. My work spans the full lifecycle of AI Agents in production. I developed our LLM-as-a-judge evaluation framework to surface quality issues and improve agent behavior. I partner with Product and ML teams to build customer-centric LLM evals, iterate on prompts, and ship improvements. Additionally, I work closely with GTM teams on strategy implementation, ensuring our AI Agent delivers real-world value for customers. This combination of building, evaluating, and deploying AI Agents gives me a practical perspective on what distinguishes truly effective AI solutions from surface-level implementations. I am also a Fulbright Scholar with a Master’s from Columbia University, where I co-founded the Entrepreneurship & Venture Society and served as a judge for startup pitch competitions. Currently based in SF & Paris.
