Limited grid capacity is one of EV charging’s biggest challenges, but Electrify America’s battery energy storage system (BESS) rollout makes Hyper-Fast charging possible where the grid alone may not support. By storing energy off-peak and discharging when demand is high, the over 170 BESS deployments on our network nationwide are helping enable wider EV adoption by expanding access to EV charging.
