In 2012, the winners of the Big Awards included Integration Partners and TubeMogul for companies of the year; Domo, Cloud Access and Bkon for start-ups of the year; AdSafe (now Integral), Bill.com, LiveOps Insight, TubeMogul for products of the year and Phil Fernandez, CEO of Marketo for executive of the year.

“We were astounded by the business communities reaction to our program. The quality of nominations and volunteer judges was amazing,” said Russ Fordyce, managing director of the Business Intelligence Group. “Programs like ours are more important than ever as the hectic pace of business, and life, accelerates. Professionals don’t often step back and recognize their own accomplishments, so we are working to change that.”

Unlike other awards programs, judges for the Big Awards are industry experts and executives managing and running companies worldwide. Nominations are individually scored and ranked using a proprietary statistical methodology. Once winners are selected and announced, all nominees will be given their nomination back with judging commentary and scoring.

“Our process sets us apart from other awards programs,” Fordyce continued. “We encourage our judges to provide their own feedback and guidance so that our nominees gain real insight on their business and have tangible advice to improve their overall operation.”
